This is a specialist tool designed to dig narrow, deep and perfectly vertical holes, essential for installing posts for fences, boundary walls and signage, or for planting trees and shrubs. The ‘pincer’ action allows it to penetrate the ground and, by closing the two handles, to grip and lift the excavated soil without unnecessarily widening the hole.
